Remote access - port forwarding

Remote access has been working well for me but now it has stopped without apparent reason. I checked the port I used with this http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ ... and it says the port I'm using is closed. I'm using a netcomm NB604N and went to this guide to manually port forward the po...

More iphone 6 problems

The iphone 6 app works beautifully when I'm on the LAN, using the internal address for remote access. When I'm on the 3G network, I can access and log in directly (ie not using the app) to the external address for remote access. However, when I'm on the 3G network using the Sighthound app and try to...

Re: iphone 6 - google drive - Sighthound

Thanks Devin. I just discovered it and was about to post.
It's a pity it doesn't allow entry of both the local IP for testing and the remote IP. The local IP works great. Mine won't allow the remote IP to be entered at all, I assume until I'm away from my local network?

iphone 6 - google drive - Sighthound

I'm using google drive to store Sighthound clips off site. I'm also using the Sighthound alerts to send an SMS to my iphone 6. I want to be able to view the clips on google drive from my iphone 6, when I receive an SMS alert. I can open the folder on google drive, but when I click on an mp4 clip, I ...

Re: Moving from Logitech Alert

I was very surprised that it was so hard to find a POE to EOP, similar to what Logitech uses. I could only find one in the US (USD49) and one in the UK (more expensive). I was even more surprised that it all worked so well :D

Moving from Logitech Alert

As many are aware, Logitech is stopping supply of the Logitech Alert Security system ... with the announcement having been made right after I bought in. I was very concerned as to what to do (as I'm sure many others are) but I've now expanded my system with: HIKVision POE camera PL9660-PoE AsokaTech...

Remote Access Password

When I attempt to set up remote access according to https://www.sighthound.com/support/how- ... ote-access

... it allows entry of a 6 character password, but shows 10 characters after "Apply" "OK" and return to the remote access page!

Must 10 characters be used?

Re: SMS on alert

Hi Devin,

I've found another way, sending free SMS's to any carrier, via gmail:
