Re: SMS on alert

Thanks Devin. Unfortunately it doesn't look as though my carrier supports it. Is there an alternative?

SMS on alert

Blue Iris has this capability. I love Sighthound but this could be a decider for Blue Iris. "Camera > Alerts, then under 'Using the internet' there is a setting named 'Send an SMS text message to a cell phone' click the 'Configured' button next to it" If they can do it, I'm sure you guys c...

Re: Logitech Alert 750i and 750e?

I'm planning to use my existing Logitech 750e with its powerline adaptors and Sighthound. It works well. I want to add a HIKVision camera with a PL9660-POE Asoka powerline adaptor. Will the new camera connected to the Asoka adaptor work with the existing Logitech adaptor connected to my router and P...

Re: External storage

Thanks Devin, ahallada

I did find one free FTP site, Lokad. It works well for auto backup but is only 1 GB.

I eventually got google drive working automatically. Much more storage but seems slower.

External storage

What is the best way to set up external (off site) backup storage? Only the last week's data is needed.

Can google drive (15BG) be used?

Can old data be automatically deleted?

From a security viewpoint, backup storage would allow capture of an intruder if my PC was stolen or destroyed.

Re: Changing from Logitech Alert

Thanks Devin. I did read that Sighthound supports Logitech but I was more concerned about whether ther Logitech EOP box between my modem and power outlet, would support non Logitech cameras over the powerline. Do I need a new EOP box to replace the Logitech one, to support other brands of camera ove...

Changing from Logitech Alert

I currently have a Logitech Alert 750e system. I'd like to add other (non Logitech) cameras and change to Sighthound. What new hardware will I need? Can I use the existing Logitech network adaptor connected to my modem? Is there a combined POE/EOP (with a 240v Australian plug) to connect each camera...
