Re: Camera Offline Notification

More important than just the camera offline, you need a notification that your storage is off line or unavailable. Still even more important, is the ability to reconnect to the storage when it becomes available again. I've had my SMB network storage go off line momentarily several times and sighthou...

Re: Mobile alert notificaitons off-line

I was, for a while. But once again I'm not and togging push notifications on my device times out. So it looks like your service is still having issues. If you are going to run a service that people rely on for important things like notifications on security cameras, you really need to broadcast to y...

Mobile alert notificaitons off-line

Without any user input, alerts on all our mobile devices have been disabled and push notification has been turned off. When we try to turn on push notifications on multiple devices we get a message saying "Failed registering for push notifications". We've retried restarting our mobile devi...

Browser's that are supported for remote viewing under 5.0?

I don't know about everyone else, but it looks like the new release has a lot of browser compatibility issues. Chrome - Seems to work across windows and Macs. Firefox - Works inconsistently on windows devices (all version 54.0 and greater). One instance of firefox fails to load anything after log in...

Re: Upgraded to 4.0.2 build 16844 broke remote access

I filed a Bug report before I made this post. I also did the following things before filing the bug report. -Disabled remote access and then re-enabled it. -Disabled remote access, restarted the computer, then re-enabled remote access. Each time, SH server was stuck in "starting". I've jus...

Upgraded to 4.0.2 build 16844 broke remote access

I just upgraded Sighthound to 4.0.2, build 16844 and my remote access is no longer working. The status of the server never leaves "starting". What is the best way to downgrade sighthound to a more stable version?

I'm running Sighthound on OSX 10.9.5

Re: Ignore objects LARGER than ___ pixels

+ 1 on this. I get at least 2 alerts per day for each of my cameras. Once in the morning, once in the evening as they switch color modes. This would eliminate those false events

Re: Camera Offline Alert

I agree with this. I've had a camera go off line recently and I was not aware of it until I manually checked the feed. For cam software, its hard to believe that this is not already in place. It's pretty basic to send an alert when there is a loss of a cam feed and it is important from a security pe...

Re: Looking for Some Pre-Purchase Recommendations

You might want to look into some of the HikVision cameras. Specifically, you might consider: DS-2CD2332 (3MP) EXIR turret camera (or similar) DS-2CD2032 (3MP Bullet camera (or similar) I've used both of these and would buy them again. I've also used the DS-2CD3132 Dome camera. I'm less happy with th...
