Add some IFTTT limited logic

I installed some smart switches for exterior lights and have started using the IFTTT trigger on Sighthound camera rules. The problem is that the IFTTT routines available from manufacturers tend to be ultra-simple - such as "Turn switch on" and "Turn switch off" only. There are th...

Re: Remote Access App internal vs. external network

The DNS characterization of the issue makes complete sense. However, while I see some ways to set up a custom DNS on my laptop, I don't see that capability on an iPhone. Google WiFi allows custom DNS server addresses like most routers, but I don't see how to condition a DNS lookup on a domain on the...

Remote Access App internal vs. external network

Hello Sighthound Support Forum, I have Sighthound Pro installed on a Macbook Pro 2015 (High Sierra) and it has been running fine. Version 6.1.1 is up to date. I have been having one problem accessing the server from my iPhone App recently. This could be related to a new router (Google WiFi) installe...

Re: Looking for help on SV3C / Netcam camera to SightHound

Thanks for the help Devin. I tried all of those methods and Sighthound still hangs at "Connecting" There were no settings for ONVIF other than an "open/close" switch. For rtsp, the only setting shown is same "open/close" and it shows the port number as 10554 but does no...

Looking for help on SV3C / Netcam camera to SightHound

I purchased an HD wireless/wired camera on Amazon that appears to be working fine but Sighthound is not recognizing the stream properly. The camera listing is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZY3C00/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I set it up using their setup tool and I can vi...

Larger window for drawing a region

When making a rule to only alert you when an object is within a region, it is very hard sometimes to define that region when looking at the camera view in the tiny window provided. For example, my street facing camera picks up cars, and people walking by on sidewalk, but I only want an alert when so...

Configuration Save!

Really? Sighthound has such great potential but needs to mature. How about a "Save Configuration/Restore Configuration" menu item??? I'm migrating to another computer and I have no means for saving the existing setup - that I worked very hard to perfect - to that new computer. Same goes i...

Monitor Mode for cameras - to view but not record

It seems that if you disable all of the Rules for a camera, it goes "offline" in the Sighthound application. When setting up a new camera location/view/focus/etc., it would be useful to have a "MONITOR" mode, where the camera would be active and viewable, but not follow any rules...

Using DynDNS address in Mobile App

This is both a question and possibly feature request! Many of us likely have dynamic IP addresses assigned by ISP, therefore using a particular IP address for remote access could have problems. Additionally, the mobile App seems to remember the login address, exposing it to anyone who might start th...
