- Code: Select all

I set it up using their setup tool and I can view the stream on their monitor software OR on VLC as:
- Code: Select all
rtsp://192.xxx.xxx.236:10554/tcp/av0_0
If I add the login info to the stream address, it also works.
- Code: Select all
rtsp://admin:[email protected]:10554/tcp/av0_0
In Sighthound, I "Add a new Camera" and go through the steps. It does find the camera on my network as an ONVIF camera from "Netcam, Inc." at the assigned IP address. I enter login/pw and it does find two video streams: the HD one above and a SD one as above with av0_1 at end instead.
However, when I select a stream, it simply will not connect! It just hangs with little browser window showing "Connecting"
I can access the stream through a browser as it instructs too, but in that case
- Code: Select all
http://192.xxx.xxx.236/index.html
It may be this intermediate step that is screwing up Sighthound. But I've gotten the stream to display on two other video surveillance software programs (UC and Xeoma) without problem either.
OTHER INFO: The setup software does allow changing the RTSP port number if needed. Otherwise, it only has an RTSP setting for "Open" or "Close" and close cuts off stream. There is an ONVIF setting too that is just "open" or "close".
Please advise! I really bought this to use on my existing network of cams..
Thx,
Jake
