Using DynDNS address in Mobile App

This is both a question and possibly feature request!
Many of us likely have dynamic IP addresses assigned by ISP, therefore using a particular IP address for remote access could have problems. Additionally, the mobile App seems to remember the login address, exposing it to anyone who might start the App.

Quesiton: Is there a way to use a Dynamic DNS service (e.g. DynDNS) to log in to the Mobile App? The App seems to reject login address such as

I already do this using I have the Dynamic DNS setup in my router, so use my DNS name and port to connect in the app.

I have discovered a Newer (not available to all) app does do this.

Android OS 8 does in fact have an update app on the play store
with the latest of May 6, 2019 (Version 1.6.2) which in fact does work.

Ver 1.0.4 Does NOT (Android OS 4.4) on the play store shows this is the newest and only option.. But it many years old now and as you mention above does not work.
