You probably want to look for support for RTSP and ONVIF. This forum may not be the most active place to ask for help either. Try https://www.reddit.com/r/homesecurity/ maybe?

What are your requirements for this camera? wifi? poe? something small and unobtrusive? etc.

For #2, there isn't quite an export/import feature, but if you copy and restore everything under "C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Sighthound Video\", you'll get the equivalent. https://forums.sighthound.com/topic11785 https://support.sighthound.com/kb/article/98-where-does-sighthou...

As noted in the link below, the new camera I'm testing only does H.265. This feature is now a must for me to stay with Sighthound.

@visionik - I'm testing out Reolink's new RLC-810A (sub $100 4k POE camera w/ audio and RTSP!). So far I'm loving it. The reason I mention this is because the RTSP stream is ONLY in H.265 (confirmed with support). In my earlier post I said that H.265 was a major consideration for me, but not a must....

Update was posted today: https://www.sighthound.com/news/big-sur ... g-progress

While I'm sure the news isn't what you were hoping for, it is good that they are communicating that they are still working on the problem.

Possibly related to the camera using H265 (not supported by Sighthound) when streaming 4k, but using H264 when streaming at lower resolutions? I don't have a Reolink to test with, so just kind of throwing an idea out there.

You are correct, I missed this under the "event scrubber" (the top one for whatever event you are on), thanks. It looks like the blue colored sections are clips saved by rules, and the green are those that are not (and thus will drop off first as space/time runs out)? I would still like to...

Topic pretty much says it for this one. Support for H.265 and H.265+ is missing from Sighthound, but available to a wider variety of competing products, third party NVR's, and cameras.

I want to be able to record 24/7, which I believe Sighthound does, and stores videos temporarily under "<drive>\Sighthound Videos\archive", and then quickly move back and forth through those videos if I want to search for some event that may not have been alerted on. The closest thing I ca...

Just wanted to drop by own review in here. First, I second (third? fourth ?) the need for H.265. I obviously don't have access to the metrics that you do regarding user base, and I don't know very much about the licensing, but a lot of cameras are moving to this. If not as a default/ only option, th...
