Re: Sighthound Video 6 beta issues

Hello, I wonder, has Sighthound considered to give the users possibilities to tech the algorithms in the real use cases and environment? What I mean is that it is difficult to see, one-size-fits-all approach without any config possibilities would really improve the product quality and minimize the f...

Re: User confirmed cameras

Hello,

Milesight outdoor Mini and Pro bullet IP cameras work just fine. From streaming point of view, the cameras are having the same functionality in all the models.

Re: Latest Version - Unusable

Hello, Earlier this morning, we’ve become aware that an incorrect binary was deployed for the automatic update of version 5.1.2. The binary exhibited a major memory leak on OSX. Binaries downloaded directly from the website were never affected. To remediate the problem, and make sure all the affect...

Re: Latest Version - Unusable

Hello,

The same for me. I have macOS 10.13.1 in mac Mini with 8GB memory. SH5.1.2 is eating all the memory there is. 5.1.1 uses max some hundreds of megs.

I needed to roll back to 5.1.1. 5.1.2 is not usable at all.

SH 5.0.5 processor load

Hello, Just a note that in my 2011 model Mac Mini, processor load with the new SH 5.0.5 is some 20% lower compared to SH4. Meaning with two HD cameras, with 25fps, load is between 20/15% night/day. Big thank's to turning the SH to be 64bit. Now I don't need to wait for a new Mac Mini from Apple, wha...

Re: Linode LLC

While it is simple to query for the local IP displaying the external IP is a little more involved. To do so we have servers that the app can send a message to which will attempt to report back with what the generating IP was. This is also the only way to check whether the external port was automati...

Linode LLC

Hello, I have 4.0.4 Mac OS version installed. I have also the remote access activated through my iPhone client. From my Firewall, I have noticed that every now and then, there is a connection attempt from IP address 198.58.120.8 to the port number dedicated for SH remote access. iplocation.net gives...

Re: Log information for remote access

Thank's for the info.

From which directory in Mac, I can find those logs? Would be enough for my purposes.

Log information for remote access

Hi, I have a concern for the security of the remote access. It is good that the port number can be changed so that Internet port scanners do not get the obvious standard port. However, there is a port open in the Firewall/router and at least in my environment, in no time, someone in the Internet not...

Re: D-link cloud cameras?

Hello, A note that I got a reply from D-link that this particular camera is having access only through D-link cloud. Not through directly any URL and therefore not supposed with apps like Sighthound. Be careful, when you purchase cameras. Also something to think about for Sighthound in the future. I...
