Re: Pause camera activity to hibernate?

Thank you Doug. I will post results when done. My problem is that the camera activity is preventing hibernation in the first place, waking works next day OK. However your solution sounds great, i.e. turn off before hibernate and naturally turn on after wake up. I am using the Free version and have n...

Pause camera activity to hibernate?

I have set my camera computer to hibernate and wake up automatically. It works perfectly. When the camera is on the hibernate after 2 minutes no longer works because of the activity that the camera.VitaminD is creating. Is there any way to pause the recording before hibernation and resume immediatel...

Agents during hibernation

I have my computer set to hibernate at night and wake up next morning. I now notice that since setting that I ran out of memory. The culprit was at least 25 agent processes running where normally with one camera I have 5 if I remember. On turning off the camera and closing VDV I noticed that the age...

Re: Analyzing pre-recorded video

Thank you for that ryan. Finally, is there a trial version? I am concerned with whether my old system, (hopefully to be given new life for this purpose), will cope with 2 cameras. It has 1.5GB memory Semperon 2GHz processor and plenty of disk space. It could be run either with XP pro or Windows 7, I...

Analyzing pre-recorded video

Can you please explain how pre-recorded video can be analysed, i.e. when no event is set and temporary video is captured. In the event that it is possible... Does the analysis take real time or can it be done at higher speed? Can video from another camera not connected to DVD be analysed after the r...

Re: Serving cameras as ip

Thanks again ryan. I have now, using your suggested reading used WebcamXP and the path suggested, got video, however I am baffled to find that the picture at the source is upright but the picture in VDV at the remote computer is upside down. I guess I might possibly be able to reverse it at the sour...

Re: Serving cameras as ip

Thank you ryan and apologies for the delay. I will follow up your reading suggestions and come back if not solved. It seems that the iSpy path /?c=1 or whatever number is to jpg but it is the only path provided. May I assume that VDV does not have a server hidden anywhere within it, to solve these p...
