Given the historic major release intervals of Sighthound, will we still be alive by the time Sighthound 8 will be released?

H.265 encoding should be a high priority.
Cheap or even free video software have already implemented it.
You will fall behind if this is not done soon.

First post just to +1 on h.265

As previous post suggested I’d happily pay an “add-on” fee if this helps.

Personally this software originally purchased due to compatibility with my own choice of cameras (it’s been great) so you may lose anyone purchasing today on that basis. Almost cameras over £40 on Amazon today are h.265 default.
