Absolutely agree here. Expensive software like Sighthound should definitely support H.265.
Synology Surveillance Station has been supporting it (and H.264, H264+, H.265+) for a while now and their iOS app even shows all cameras with audio !

So +1 for H.265 and another +1 for audio in live and playback of clips!

+1 for h265 support. Its almost 2019 and this codec is now standard in all IP cams. Holding off on the unlimited license until this is added.

Last I heard from support was hopefully in the next release. I've been holding off on the unlimited camera licensee since there is still no support for h265. We are approaching 2020 and about 99% of cheap cameras even support the codec now.

Hello,

We are not going to be adding H.265 support in Sighthound Video version 6. However, we are looking into licensing it. We are hoping to maybe have it in version 7 or 8. We will announce it once we have a better idea of what it will take.
