Re: sighthound alert send mutiple images

Depending on your cameras I'd look elsewhere to solve these types of requests.... If you're so inclined, a raspberry PI (and/or just running Node-Red on your NVR windows box) will solve most issues. You can have SightHound trigger an event via webhook and then have NodeRed request captures from each...

Re: ALPR can't keep up with video

As much as I wish I had a Ferrari in my driveway it's a bit comical that ALPR repeatedly mistakes our portico for a high end sports car. (usually Ferrari or Audi R8) I mean, it doesn't get more stationary than this !? Which is why, just like with SightHound Video, I'd love some form of calibration. ...

Re: ALPR can't keep up with video

I would be interesting to know the minimum spec to be able to keep up with a single stream. Mine did the same and I ran it on Windows direct (no docker) and it kept lagging behind. If I compare my rig v.s. sending the same image through the API, I get a response from the API in ~1-2 seconds whereas ...

Re: Add some IFTTT limited logic

Check out Node-Red
you can either run it on your sighthound machine or (I would recommend) using a Raspberry Pi Zero WLan ($10)

Fully customizeable through webhooks and you run it locally w/o the need for "the cloud"

Re: Remote Access App internal vs. external network

It's a routing / DNS issue. I'm not familiar with Google WiFi so I can't comment on the exact settings, but on my own setup I'm using a dedicated server and have my own DNS, so I had to put in a local DNS entry for my external domain. i.e. cameras.mydomain.com >> 123.123.123.123 Some routers can han...

Re: The perfect Sighthound CPU. 8 core/16 threads/65 watts.

By the time SH supports GPU offloading on AMD platforms there'll be something newer and greater out there.

"the hope is to finalize NVidia support later this year" (2019)
No mentioning of ATI/AMD and we've yet to see NVidia support.

Re: Enough is enough

These threads are always painful to watch as there's typically two camps, the bashers and the lovers. The only reason I post here is that I feel I'm in no mans land, somewhere in between. Motion detection is going to be resource intensive no matter what, a 1080p camera @ 6fps and a 4K/8MP @ 30fps wi...

Re: ALPR Watch Folder Path - Mac

I'm using Windows and watch folders work just fine, so I can't say anything about Mac's.

That said, there was a new version released within the last few days (.100) so if you have an older one it might be worth trying the new one.

Re: Sighthound ALRP stuck as processing

Steve is real, can't comment on his response rate, and the forums are sadly more frequented by spam-bots than they are by SH Staff so I'm not sure how much traction you'll get here either. That said, you're probably better off emailing support for ALRP related questions. I did, regarding the webhook...

Re: Rule Pan Scan

Personally I think it'll be a while before we see this type of functionality in SH as it would require a semi decent rule engine with a configurable logic... If you like to tinker I would recommend looking into Node-Red, it's very powerful yet it can run on a $5 Raspberry PI Zero. Depending on your ...
