Re: Amcrest IP4M-1028EB lost connection to Sighthound video

See if you can bypass Sighthound and login directly to the camera's webpage from your browser.
I have Amcrest cameras, and I do that to upgrade their firmware, change settings, etc.

Re: How Do I Turn Off "Overlay Bounding Boxes on Clips"?

Hello, Where are you seeing the bouncing boxes? In remote access or in Search View? With what you did, that should have stopped the bounding boxes in remote access. I will be standing by for your reply, thank you! The clips in the Search View show the bounding boxes. They do not appear in the other...

Re: How Do I Turn Off "Overlay Bounding Boxes on Clips"?

Hello, Can you please try changing the "Clip Video Quality" to something other than Normal? Once you do that, it should make that box editable. Please let us know if that doesn't work or if you have any other questions or concerns, thank you! -Kevin I mentioned in my first post that I had...

How Do I Turn Off "Overlay Bounding Boxes on Clips"?

I wish to remove the bounding boxes on my clips. However, I have my Advanced settings on "Original", so the overlay bounding boxes on clips is grayed out: https://i.imgur.com/Fw2vv0R.png When I do switch to "High" I can uncheck the box, but the overlay still remains on the clips....

Re: Best cameras for use with Sighthound?

Amcrest also makes Starvis low light cameras. I bought three of them when they partnered with Amazon for a $20 off sale. You will want to stay away from the bullet cameras where the IR light surrounds the camera lens. Spiders are attracted to the light and will try to build webs around them, which w...

Re: H.265

H.265 encoding should be a high priority.
Cheap or even free video software have already implemented it.
You will fall behind if this is not done soon.

Re: Motion detection expectations?

Turn off Amcrest's motion detection and use Sighthound's (assuming the trial version allows this). You don't need to apply motion detection on everything in the camera's range. Experiment with the entering/exiting region, door, and crossing a boundary settings. Basically, you would be drawing lines ...

Do I Need to "Force TCP Connection" With Wired ONVIF Cameras

I am just wondering if I need to set this for my Amcrest cameras that are wired directly to ethernet cables and set up as Network IP - Other - ONVIF. I know UDP is faster but less reliable than TCP, but does it matter with wired cameras?
