Do I Need to "Force TCP Connection" With Wired ONVIF Cameras

I am just wondering if I need to set this for my Amcrest cameras that are wired directly to ethernet cables and set up as Network IP - Other - ONVIF. I know UDP is faster but less reliable than TCP, but does it matter with wired cameras?

Hello,

TCP is always recommended. Although you camera is wired, Sighthound Video is still accessing the video stream and a TCP connection will be more reliable overall. I hope this helps. Please feel free to email support if you have more questions at [email protected], thank you!
