Re: "No active rules" error

On one of the cameras I deleted the rules and tried to add a new one. However the rule editor had no preview of the camera (I can see the camera when I click edit camera and go through the wizard, but not in the main screen or rule editor) and the new rule also doesn't have the usual icons to the ri...

"No active rules" error

Hi Sighthound stopped working for some reason so I had my wife reboot the system, on coming back online every camera says there are no active rules, but I still see them listed. I can not edit them, switching to search or options causes Sighthound to crash. I've had this happen once before and I bel...

CPU bound?

Hi
Is Sighthound Video CPU bound or does it take advantage of a GPU installed in the system to help with encoding/decoding/motion detection?

Thanks

Re: (At least) one more license step

Doesn't have a native mobile app, requires subscription for remote access.

Run a .bat file

Is it possible to execute a .bat file in the "run the command" ?

Simply entering the destination of the file flashes a command prompt window for a split second but doesn't execute the bat.

Feedback from a new "pro" customer

Hey After growing my Dropcam collection to 5 and getting fed-up with video dropout and monthly fees as well as abysmal customer support I decided to build my own solution and settled on Sighthound. I installed it on my old desktop computer (i5 3.3Ghz, 8GB ram, Win 7) and picked up 4 Hikvision 3MP ca...
