(At least) one more license step

by Konstigt » Mon Aug 17, 2015 8:30 am

Hello

I've been using a trial license and testing Sighthound now for a week. What holds me back from buying a license is that i need support for three cameras. To go from $60 for Basic to $250 for Pro is just not feasible.

Please fix this by adding more cameras to Basic or maybe another step in the licensing plan.

(Maybe home use and enterprise use should be separate as well)

Doesn't have a native mobile app, requires subscription for remote access.

Hi Critters,

We do have both Android and iOS mobile apps and remote access requires a paid license, but not a subscription. The upgrades and support subscription is entirely optional and no features are removed if the subscription expires. For more details please see the following articles:

Mobile apps - https://www.sighthound.com/support/mobi ... id-and-ios
Support and Upgrades Subscription - https://www.sighthound.com/support/abou ... scriptions

Regards,

-Devin

I tried ispy and the setup was over complicated, and the motion detection was horrid for me. Good luck, maybe they have improved since!

Yeah, the mobile "app" sucks. But I don't need to use it very often, so I can live with that. Remote access is possible because I can connect to my home with VPN. Then the app works, it can use the "local" camera server.

The setup was a bit of a hassle but now it's up & running it does the job. For free.

Sighthound is better but $250 for three cameras is just crazy.

I must agree! Please have a license option for 4 cameras or at least, let me buy two $60 licenses to allow for 4 cameras. $250 is a lot for a home owner!
