Re: Using --backEnd / run as a service

Good day. So I tried spawning the VD agent in a logoff script, but that's not working. The process runs under the user that's logging off, so as soon as the script ends, the process is killed (logical; registry needs to be unloaded etc). I think using TaskScheduler is still the simplest way to get t...

Re: sending email alert to more than one address

Duh, just noticed it is explained in the online help that we must use comma to send to multiple addresses.
My apologies for asking on Forum.

Re: sending email alert to more than one address

Nice, it works, thanks Ryan! VD is somewhat "simple" (and it took some work getting it to start when I needed it and to store data where I wanted it) but it's performing beautifully so far, has tons of logs in case something goes wrong, and it's very light! Well done! It detects the cat as...

EDIT: Read the replies for a solution to really running VD as a service... A few notes regarding --backEnd (see https://vitamind.fogbugz.com/default.asp?video.1.156.3 )...

Re: Delete pointers vs permanent delete

Hi Ryan!

I tried a few forum searches but kept getting "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words" so I ended-up having to ask. Thank you much for your reply, it is exactly what I thought, quick-delete is all I need :-)

Delete pointers vs permanent delete

Good day. Does anyone know if deleting "the information used to find Saved clips" then "transforms" these saved clips into "temporary" video that gets deleted after N days? Vitamin seems to be working this way: - At first, all video is "temporary" video, even ...
