Thanks! The stream path is empty, and it is simply rtsp://user:pass@IP ? I'll get these built into a future version. When you say VDV is useless with the WOB-300-Np, why is that? Do you have a stream that plays in other media players, or you are unable to find the stream?

Hi Ryan,

Streampath is either /channel1 or /channel2. Port forwarding included, if it is setup in the camera.

WOB-300-Np is 3M pixel camera for professional usage. I don't see a business case for an S1300 investment for an camera, where you can get only half the resolution in use with VDV?

Huacam HCV701
hardware version: V2.0B
Bootloader Version: 1.0.0.0
Firmware Version: 1.0.1.71

Settings on the webcam web UI:

Under Video & Audio: "Primary Stream Settings"
Preferred Video Codec: MJPEG
Resolution: 1280*960 (4:3)
Bit Rate: (non-changeable at this resolution)
Maximum Frame Rate: 20 fps

Settings when added camera in VitaminD Video:

Add as "Network (IP) Camera" > "Other"
Assuming you've already configured it to work via Internet Explorer and can view the video, choose "manually specify the address of a network camera" on the next page and click NEXT

Camera type: "Other IP camera"
Protocol: http
IP address: (if you don't know this you shouldn't be at this step)
HTTP port (optional): 8081 (this is the default the camera comes at - I've also test it to work correctly with port 80)
Stream path: goform/stream?cmd=get&channel=0

enter your username, password
Scale video to: XGA (1024x768)

Click NEXT.

This was a PITA to figure out and I couldn't find the HTTP stream path anywhere (including all the resources/links that this forum suggests checking). Luckily a user on Amazon.com forums called into Huacam tech support and actually got a knowledgeable person on the line who gave it to them. Then they posted it in the reviews for the HCV701 on Amazon.

If anyone gets RTSP working on this, I'd love to know how. I can get RTSP to work under VLC with "rtsp://<IP ADDRESS>:10081" but VitaminD Video refuses to connect to that stream. I left all the other settings the same.

Thanks armyturtle,

We'll add this to a future release. If you'd like to drop me an email, ryan@, I may be able to help you get the rtsp stream working.

Hi Ryan, the only camera I have that I don't see on the list is my AXIS M1054 working in 1280 x 720 HD mode nicely. It is also very much appreciated with the free upgrades on recent purchases, and the discounted upgrade for older users!

Thanks saintjohnny,

Glad to continue having you as a customer! If you let me know which settings you used to configure the camera I'll be sure to add it to a future update.

Eminent EM6230 (foscam firmware?)

http://www.eminent-online.com/en/product/1842/em6230-e-camview-outdoor-hd-ip-camera.html
Protocol: rtsp
Stream Path: /11

Had some image problems at first but they were solved by forcing tcp. (already described in this forum, thanks!)
