I got it !!
Sorry for blaming VTD, Nod32 was indeed the sw that caused it.
A google on the name on the tempfiles was pointing me in the right direction.
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=113974

Whats needs to be done is to tell Nod32 IMON part to exclude VTD Agent and VTD Video and hey presto no tempfiles.
Sorry again for beeing quite stubborn and making you spend time on this.

Now I just need to see if VTD is up to the task in watching over my boat, waves can be a bugger...and tripping motion sensors.

Glad you found it and thanks for letting us know! We have many users running Nod32, this might help someone in the future. Good luck with your testing.

I hate to bring this up - but I have this same issue of LOTS of temp folders - but I have no virus scan products installed on the machine.

Path is always c:\users\admin\appdata\local\temp\tmp*****sessions\*.*

containing folders are always...
..\session.1.local_bundle\session_resources\*.*
..\session.2.local_bundle\session_resources\*.*

I am getting rid of them with CCleaner, but I really wish they would either not get created, or get cleaned up on their own.
