I ran the update to 7.0.4b on my system, Windows Server 2019 running on ESXi. Honestly, nothing seems to have changed. When running the desktop app, I get higher CPU usage (goes from about 25% to 55%-70% depending on tab), but nothing unexpected or out of the ordinary, and no crashes. How long does it take to crash? Are you on any particular tab (e.g. Cameras vs Grid)? How many cameras are running (I currently have 6 on, and 3 more "turned off").

Has anyone seen patch notes for this version yet? Any word on H265 support?

I am seeing this as well on Big Sur. Also, rules cannot be saved and program constantly restarts.

Sighthound, any word on another beta to fix these issues?

I tried the latest beta code 7.0.4B, I don't really see any changes from the 6.x version I was running for a long time. I am running 6 2MP cameras on an i5 Windows 10 box, CPU ~60%. CPU usage might be down a little, but alerting is no different.

People detection works OK in daylight, but if there is any rain or snow going on, I get false alerts for people. This is something I was really hoping Sighthound would fix in this update.

Also, if anyone from Sighthound is reading these forums, please don't push new code without any release notes.

I've started noticing a periodic problem where cameras (doesn't seem to be any certain one) will drop off and be marked "Could not connect". Right click -> reconnect doesn't seem to help, neither does the "click here to go to the camera setup test screen". It's not a problem with the camera, they continue to record fine to another NVR, they're still connected, you can access them directly. Sometimes restarting the Sighthound service (Windows) will work, but more often a reboot is necessary. They reconnect just fine as soon as the reboot occurs.

The latest BETA release (12/28/20) will not launch at all on my iMac running High Sierra, previous Beta works fine but with the normal issues of identifying car lights as just about everything (people, animals ect).

The latest beta also will not launch on my mac mini late 2012 running High sierra.

Older version works fine.

Why is Sighthound nowhere to be found on these boards? Some feedback from the engineering team would be appreciated

I tried the latest beta code 7.0.4B on my Windows 10 Pro PC. It launches, but no video appears from my 7 cameras on the main window. The small preview windows (right side) for each camera do show video, but nothing on the main window, regardless of the camera I choose. I try reconnect for each camera, but nothing ever appears on main window.

I agree that release notes are an absolute must for any new release. I'm going back to the first beta of version 7...or possibly version 6 for now.

Sighthound engineering, if anyone is seeing this, any update on these fixes?
If not, can at least someone post and let us know status or when we could expect the next beta to drop?
