Foscam C1

by Tabassum » Thu Dec 10, 2015 5:56 pm

Hi Guys,

did anyone configure a Foscam C1 with Sighthound? If yes please let me know how to. I am trying to get access to the camera but in vain. I tried different configurations but none of them seems to work.

Any help, stream path etc would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Ahmed

Ordered my C1's and they should come in tomorrow. What I read is that the image and video url's where broken for a while, this is solved in the latest firmware.

Will keep you posted on my progress with this cam.

Hi Guys,

I have two Foscam C1 cameras and i haven't been able to get them set up. I just sent an email to Sighthound. I was able to use them with iVideon and iSpy, so I think it's just a matter of setting Sighthound correctly. I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Am running into the same issue, the C1 does not have mjpeg support at the moment it seems.

As the API is no longer open I do not know how to access the other streams, I have asked Foscam for access to the API.

Keep us updated with the response from Sighthound support:)

With so many users we should be able to fix this sooner then later!

Hey guys, hope this helps to get your C1 Foscam running.

I had the same issues as you but manage to get my C1 working going down this route.

- If you haven't already, locate your cameras IP address. I just used the FOSCAMs bundled software.

- Open Sightsound Video Program > Tools > Add Camera

Camera Type = Network (IP) Camera
Manufacturer = Foscam

- Camera Type : FI9821W
- IP Address : whatever your address is
- RSTP Port : 554 << This should be standard but you can always check by logging into the IP Cam Client using your web browser plugin or the FOSCAM client & it will show under Settings > Port (see below image)
- Scale Video To: Match source

Hi Rhino

Thanks for your reply buddy. Unfortunately this did not work for me.

I am running win 7 with Avira Antivirus basically nothing special which would block the ports.

Sighthound is working perfectly with other cameras but not the C1 :?

Tried every option from QVGA to Match Source but in vain.

Camera Type: Other IP camera
Protocol: RTSP
IP Address: (address of the C1 camera)
Stream path: videoMain

:? I don't know what i am doing wrong. Tried 3 different C1 Cameras but none of them is connecting.

I can access them all through the browser (IPADDRESS:88) but not through sighthound. This is so confusing :?

@Tabassum

Select other IP Camera and set the Protocol to RTSP
then the IP address of the C1 camera
RTSP port: <blank>
Stream path = videoMain

rtsp://192.168.1.x/videoMain

Username / password for that C1 camera
Scale video to: HD 720
