Hi, please can you advise if you are aware of anyone else having problems playing clips on the iPhone app? The clips still fail to load. I've sent bug reports but still no fix... Thanks.

Sorry to bump this but it is still a problem for me.

If I am connected to my home Wifi(the one the IP camera is connected too) I can view clips. When I am off my wifi and on 3G or someone else's wifi, I get the loading and the spinning symbol.

This is after it goes into the black screen to watch the video but nothing appears.

Hope this helps

I am also having problems playing the video clips on my iPhone6+

Sometimes it loads, sometimes it plays but looks more like a still image... nothing.

Hello all,

There is a known problem with the iOS app when viewing clips - usually from high-resolution cameras - where the iOS video player will sometimes time out on loading in iOS 9. You are likely experiencing this bug if you see a blank player window with the Play symbol crossed out after several seconds.

We do have a fix for that problem - to be included in the next app release.

Any update on this issue? It also happens when you are pulling up cameras with live streams

Devin,

I have been experiencing this bug off and on for quite some time. I just found this thread today. Has this iOS update been released?

Hello teladog01,

The update was released mid December last year. One new feature is the option to select the bit rate for the live view and clips. If you find that the video is timing out you will want to select a lower bit rate. These settings can be found at Tools > Options > Remote Access > Advanced (on Windows) or Sighthound Video > Preferences > Remote Access > Advanced (on Mac).

Regards,

-Devin

Thanks for the reply, Devin. I will try adjusting the bitrate settings.
