Audio Recording

by gottech » Wed Dec 10, 2014 2:37 pm

Hello, I just finished testing out your sighthound product, and am very pleased with it. However, it is lacking one feature that is preventing me from purchasing it. I see the last response to providing audio recordings was a year ago, has your decision changed since then? Are there any plans to include this feature in a new release?

Hi gottech,

We do not have plans to add audio recording at this time though we may consider it in the future.

Regards,

that really is too bad, as it is the best of the products I've tested thus far. But without audio, I cannot justify the purchase price

Great CCTV program with internet enabled view and control however 2 issues which doesn't make it a buyer:
1. without audio and
2. SSL/Secure Socket Layer access over internet we won't buy it for professional applications.
Succes with becoming an important competitor in secure audio/video internet enabled CCTV market!

That's really too bad. I'd buy it right now if it had support for audio. The price isn't a problem at all, but lack of audio is. No audio, no purchase. Instead I'm looking at Blue Iris, iSpy, etc. You're video processing is by far superior, but they have audio.

+1 on the audio recording. Ready to buy a license for a 12 camera system and the only thing stopping me is the lack of audio recording. Seems like a rather gaping hole in the software package...

I have an 11 camera set up with iSpy right now. I was considering switching to Sighthound but no audio recording is a deal breaker.

+1 for Audio.

Just pass it through, you don't even need to record it, just have it available for live view or something.
