@johnesher
I had the blur problem as well. My solution was playing around with the frame rates (lower them one by one until it disappears). Especially when running a cam in high resolution mode. Mostly configurable either with the tool coming with the camera or the web based configuration. This is what helped me solving this issue. Cheap network cable could also cause problems (i.e. interferences from other devices or power lines etc.)
I hope this helps.

I had issues also on a wireless camera. I changed the location and the blur went away so at least in my case it was low signal strength possibly... perhaps the data rate was too low so the image came out like that. However, other programs could see the image without problem in the original setup, so there is something in the SH app that could be improved.

Why didn't I check here first? I have been having the same problem and convinced myself it was the camera. So I bought a new one, as it is higher resolution, the problem got worse.

I've added the ?svforcetcp and it is now fine, so thanks for that solution.

@KStevens, not sure I'd agree that it's any worse with Sighthound, at least not for me. I was testing under VLC initially and it was happening a lot. I tried changing power packs and cables, they made no difference. But it did seem to be just as bad whether using iSpy, VLC or Sighthound.

Again, thanks for solving this one guys!
