It's been a while since I posted. The time I've gotten myself a decent reply from the CEO of Sighthound (in which I thank you for that). However looking to the future of this product, it's support (the given private support is not bad) and development I just can't seem to place my finger on it. I wa...

If you end up switching, I would love to hear your opinions on the quality and pros/cons of each. Thank you for your insight in UniFi to Sighthound (or vice versa). Very valuable. I am not switching just yet, first one of my Hikvisions have to fail....which I doubt in the near future will happen. B...

Interesting, did you try connection any UniFi camera's (G3.. and so on) to Sighthound Video over RTSP? How did that work out for you? Would be a good reason in the future to swap my Hikvisions for UniFi.

I hope they get some cool features, but honestly, their motion/detection algorithm is one area I'm not holding my breath. You sir, are correct. However UniFi gets updates regularly. This includes algorithm improvements, but also security improvements. I am using Sighthound Video to the web and I am...

It is the same reason why I am not renewing my license just yet. I am currently running Sighthound Video 5 and it runs fine (it's not getting improved anyway). Sighthound 6 takes up more resources and as I have limited resources I was waiting for a Linux daemon version (no GUI needed, just a web int...

Curious if the linux version will be made available (headless?). I believe someone said it was pretty much possible because IO and stuff are linux based?

Yes +1 to Sighthound Video for Linux. Able to make it headless saving resources is great. Also I am looking forward to the new features. Hopefully it does not change the requirements to run Sighthound Video. As stated, new information is always welcome (or some kind of roadmap). The product itself u...

I have two Hikvision DS-2CD2112-I and one D-Link DCS-932L. I use both Hikvision in Sighthound with a Basic Licence. Would love to add the D-Link to the system but currently connected it with Synology Video Surveillance due to the high price. I was planning to buy one more Hikvision to replace the D-...

It would be nice to use Google Authenticator for 2FA with the web / app. To make it extra secure instead of only a username and password when port forwarding Sighthound Video towards the internet.

+1 debian, centos or docker support would be a great addition! Windows requires a Windows license, and a Mac you would have to buy and can't be run in a virtual machine.
