Re: Wansview W3 IP Camera

Finally,,, I reset the camera back to factory defaults and rebooted the camera, router and my pc. Seems to be working now. Used the instructions that came in the owners manual using the tcp method. It also shows how to connect using RTSP. That method worked in the wizard (video was visible), but aft...

Re: Wansview W3 IP Camera

Hello Kevin, Thanks for the quick reply... I posted the model number in my last post... W3. According to the user manual it is a W3(720p). There is also a model W2(1080p) available. Amazingly, the android app works flawlessly with the unit, even on wifi. However, my PC's are having difficulties. OMG...

Wansview W3 IP Camera

Gents,

I am looking for info on how Sighthound might be configured to show/record video from the Wansview W3 camera. The sticker says it's a model W3 (X Series). This does not show up in the Wansview camera list. Is it too new?

Any info appreciated.

Re: Zmodo Mini

I got some info from zmodo folks, but it doesn't mean much to me. Could anyone at Sighthound decipher this? Zmodo provided the following link. I tried some of the settings in SH, but kept getting a Could Not Connect message. http://kb.zmodo.com/index.php?action=artikel&cat=172&id=308&art...

Re: Using Sighthound while connecting to NAS

That's quite the configuration you have set up there. Am not sure how efficient your cameras/software is, or how many cameras you operate. However, dedicating a 6TB/camera is, IMHO, a bit over the top. I have been using Sighthound for a few years, and it seems to be quite efficient in its use of sto...

Sighthound will not load... :(

Had to recover windows 10 and re-install Sighthound. I have a 2 camera licence. However, when I re-installed SH and let it upgrade to newest version, it now will not load. I found a log file in c:\windows\temp which contains the following: Traceback (most recent call last): File "FrontEndLaunch...

Re: Sighthound will not shut down... :(

Hello Ryan, Thanks for the quick reply. Your response is well noted. I was unaware that the cameras need to be turned off to exit the application. My tests just now concluded this. I will keep this in mind for when I need to restart or close the application. As for running unattended, what would rea...

Sighthound will not shut down... :(

Hi All, I'm running SH v2.3b14652 on a windows 8.1 machine 64 bit, and it has been running ok up to a few weeks ago. When I returned from vacation, I discovered a few things... 1. When I shut down SH by clicking file/exit or clicking on the red X, it shuts down immediately,,, or so one would think. ...

Re: Recording shows no movement

Hi Scobo68, Nope, no movement. The time stamp stays the same throughout the entire clip. I checked a number of them. This is only systemic of mp4's created for the ip camera(http://www.sricctv.com) using Foscam FI8908W. The video files created for the USB Logitec 9000 Webcam play fine(there is motio...
