Any reason this post was blanked out? :\

I've opened a bug report as you suggested. Just for fun, I went through with the whole re-install-to-make-SightHound-connect process again, and here's a log snippet of a FAILED connection, then immediately after a SUCCESSFUL connection (the ~1 minute difference in the log is how long it took me to r...

Hi Devin,

Just saw your reply, but I'll do that. Thanks!

Hey SightHound folks, I've got a weird issue with my SightHound setup that's confounding me. Currently I'm running on a Win10 VM, 4 x Xeon Cores, 5GB memory, etc. The VM is dedicated to running SightHound and nothing else. Memory footprint rarely exceeds 3GB, and when processing video from my two ca...

Hi there, I'd be happy to send you as many as you need. It seems to do a remarkable job of detecting mammals! Clips can be kind of large - I may upload them to a webhost and have your support team download them from there. I'll do this once I get back home this weekend. Thanks for the response, as a...

Anybody? It's also doing it with squirrels on a different camera. It's actually pretty reliable at identifying squirrels... I just wish it would limit itself to just people!

My intent was to use SightHound to alert me when a person gets near the pool (I've got a young child, it would be good to know if our other safety precautions failed). I've got a rule set that alerts when SightHound detects a ...

So, as an update here, I finally settled on some hardware for SightHound (and some other things around the house as well - a Plex server, legal torrents, etc.). So far I'm extremely pleased with the results. For now, I'm just processing on one h.264 1080p/3MP camera and one VGA Foscam. However, I pl...

Is my thinking correct in that processing of multiple camera streams in SightHound would benefit from more processor threads? I'm in the process of moving SightHound to its own dedicated machine -- but I'm hung up on processor. I'm deciding if something like a Xeon E3-1225v3 (4-core/4-thread) would ...

Thanks as always Devin. I'd seen the real world examples page, it's helpful if a bit subjective. I wonder if there could be some kind of standardized page so people could input their hardware and how many camera streams they were processing with it -- to sort of widen the field so to speak. I realiz...
