I'm using a HooToo IP 206 and have been successfully for 6 months now in conjunction with several other brands simultaneously (pro license user). Recently I attempted to set up Vitamin D video to run as a system service through the Windows 7 task scheduler (I do this successfully with Calibre book server) and that way it runs and does it's thing in the back round regardless of whether or not I physically log in.
Needless to say it didn't work with Vitamin D video. No problem - I just want to go back to how I was using it before, where I just have my profile auto login and vitamin D auto starts. Problem is that after I removed the attempted task from the scheduler in Windows Vitamin D would no longer load any of my cameras - even after rebooting. I then attempted to remove them all (the cameras) from Vitamin D and put them back in. I ended up just uninstalling Vitamin D Video, rebooting, then reinstalling. I then re-added all my cameras. The ONLY one that doesn't work is the HooToo IP 206. Here's the strangest part though: when in the "Camera Setup" I get to the "test your camera connection" and it works and loads a live image there. However after clicking on finish I simply get, "connecting..." followed by "Could not connect" -------UNLESS I log into the camera in a web browser! Once I log into the camera via a web browser it POPS UP immediately within the main Vitamin D window and works correctly. As soon as I close the web browser... it once again goes back to "could not connect" within Vitamin D.
I'm using the D-Link DCS-920 profile for this HooToo IP-206 as suggested by the user confirmed cameras section of the forums.
What is going on here???
