Foscam and Belkin

by runwolf » Thu Mar 14, 2013 3:17 pm

I am using a Foscam FI8916W and a Belkin dualband router. Two cameras hardline one wireless. My Browser has no issue in viewing cameras either locally nor remotely.
Vitamin d correctly identified a camera previously when using my old Cisco linksys router. Since changing routers Vitamin d cannot connect/locate my cameras.

Any/all help appreciated.

FIXED

When looking at other postings in the FAQ. I manually entered the IP address defaulting camera to Foscam(other) and leaving user name "admin" but including a password (not blank).
It works.
Now to see if Vitamin D will record video to my 16G flash drive on the router. Thus no computer needed to stay on since my router is always on.

Thanks to others who posted.

Hi runwolf,

Glad you found a fix for your problem! As far as trying to record to your router and turn off your computer, I'm not sure what you are trying to do. Vitamin D can only operate if it started and running on the computer it was installed on, if you turn off your computer it will stop with it.
