Does 'KWorld USB 2.0' Adapter Work On Win7?

by tom_jenkinson » Wed Aug 01, 2012 10:36 am

Hi,

I have an analogue cctv camera and want to set it up with VitaminD. On http://www.vitamindinc.com/support/ref_ ... ps_02.html it says that the Kworld DVD Maker USB adapter will work and vitamind will see the camera with it.

I would like to know if anyone is currently using this with Windows 7 (32-bit) and whether or not it's working. I've already bought several adapters and pci cards and have spent hours trying to get them to work with no success :x .

Thanks,
Tom Jenkinson

Hi Tom,

A number of reviews on newegg and amazon claim that it does not work, despite the manufacturer claiming to have windows 7 drivers on their website, though http://www.amazon.com/review/RR7RCVG3CB ... _rtr_alt_5 says he eventually got it working.

Thanks for the info.

From the amazon review it looks like it's a problem with 'Device Driver Signature Enforcement' in vista and above. I think it only applies to 64 bit versions though and I'm on a 32 bit install so hopefully that won't cause problems.

If anyone has an analogue camera working with Win7 32 bit please can you let me know your setup.

I'm starting to wish I'd just bought an IP camera.

Thanks
