Dates Changing / Not Displaying Correctly

by Nico » Thu Feb 07, 2013 9:11 pm

Hello,

We have been using Vitamin D for a while now and have had great results.

The issue we are dealing with right now is that the dates that the folders were created on are 5 days off (sometimes more, sometimes less) of what the video actually is.

For example, the dates last week were 5 days off. The dates on the folders from today are correct.

Is there an easier way to label and sift through recordings? I'm assuming there is, and I just don't know what it is.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nico,

I'm a little confused as to what your trouble is - you seem to be talking about dates associated with folders on the disk, either creation or modification type dates? It is never recommended to manually access files and directories in the VDV file structure.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? If you are trying to preserve certain files or clips for sharing or similar, right click the clip or playback region, or go to the tools menu and choose "export clip". This will export the current clip or cache segment to a location of your choice with a plain text name.

Hope that helps, let me know if I've misjudged your problem and I'll be happy to provide further support.
