I would like to see the ability to send video via email after an event has occurred.

Hi barto,

Thanks for the request! We currently have an ability to FTP clips to a remote machine. We're also hoping to add the ability to export to a local directory, perhaps for use with services like dropbox. Are either of these sufficient? Email is an interesting scenario; it often comes with variable file size restrictions. We'd probably need to downscale/sample the video quite a bit to work with this (especially for those with hi res cameras). Would that still be desirable?

I'm curious if there are any updates on this topic? Can you export to a local directory yet? If you could export a lower resolution version in a efficient codec like H.264 it would be suitable for emailing.

I'm looking forward to this "automatic export to dropbox" feature too.
Is there any way to interact with vdv via some script triggered by vdv itself to tell it to export the clip on a default location?
I'm on windows 7, by the way.

Thanks
