UPnP problem

by toolpusher » Sat Dec 17, 2011 4:12 pm

Really want to use this software, I have a Foscam FI8904w. I can get the camera to work ok with their rubbish software but get an error every time I try to enable UPnP. I have got this enabled in my router and try to on their software but get "UPnP Failed: Rejected by UPnP Device, Maybe Port Conflict" I am running win7 64 bit, anyone any ideas.

toolpusher,

Glad VDV is working well for you now. Ugh, the blank password problem. This problem only occurs on certain cameras, and we generally have tried to document it only for relevant cameras in the help text for the cameras. However, since the Foscam models are all user reported (we've never set our hands on one), we didn't know that the problem affected them as well.

We actually do have a proposed fix for the problem, so the next release shouldn't have the issue. Luckily, the workaround for now is pretty easy (I'm sorry you had to spend so much time discovering it though. Ugh!)
