It would be desirable to suspend or limit alerts.
In many cases when the rule(s) are quite liberal or open, you might end up getting bombarded by video alerts. In most cases, one or two might be sufficient to alert someone to the trigger. It would be OK, maybe very desirable to continue the recording process, but simply have the option to suspend or stop the alerts until addressed by the operator.
I searched for this feature, but don't see any provision for this. I could write something that would kill the program all together, possibly based on the existence of the jpg snapshot taken when motion is detected and an email sent. But I don't see those jpg images saved anywhere. Possibly they are taken, emailed, and then deleted. It might also be possible to monitor the running program for outgoing email and use that as a trigger to stop the program. These are very crude solutions as I really don't want to stop recording, just stop alerting.
Thank you,
Chris
