Moving event videos only.

by Jamie-uk » Tue Jul 05, 2011 6:00 pm

First off, GREAT software !
I've been using eyespy247 software for a week now, and it really didnt do what I wanted it to do. (ie, it only records in 10 second burst, and the pir/motion detection is erratic).

So, installed your software and it works as I had wanted.

The only issue I have at the moment is that I want it to store all 'event videos' on my dropbox folder. So, I told it to places videos inside that, except it seems to store all the archive videos too, which, as the camera is on 24 7, is a lot!

Is there a way to store only the event videos in a different folder to where the archive videos are ?

Many thanks,
Jamie Durrant

Jamie,

At the moment this is not possible in Vitamin D Video. We've talked about having a response to "Export Video" response but haven't implemented it yet. Until it makes it into the app a workaround would be to run an ftp server on your machine and have it store the files in your desired directory. Not as nice as having the feature built into VDV, but it can get you by in the meantime.

No doubt, a very good software. But doug, I'm also requesting what Jamie requested earlier. Anyways! what's the latest info on subject?

I'd also like to add my vote for this feature. In the meantime I'll see if I can get the FTP mechanism working.

I was looking for this feature also... guess ill fire up a FTP server :(

When you get around to this feature, an option to include the motion red box would be nice...

Hi,

In fact we should have in option if we want a rectangle green or red when motion detection works..
I want to disable this and I can't...I don't need to see any rectangle when the video recording...

It is possible ?

Thank you.

Hi Valush,

If you don't want to see rectangles on playback in the app you can disable these in the "View" menu, simply uncheck the "Show boxes around objects" item.
