Space disappearing on Windows Drive

by browerd » Sun Apr 17, 2011 7:57 am

I set vitamin d to save videos to my H drive however the free space on my Windows drive (it is not H) is rapidly disappearing. I was wondering if vitamin d could be using the Windows drive for something, if so can I change that. Or do I need to look for some other "culprit" that is rapidly filling up my somewhat small windows drive.

I discovered gigabytes (about 2 weeks worth) of vitamin d video on my windows drive in \Documents and Settings\Dave\Local Settings\Vitamin d Video\video\tmp

I check my H drive where I set vitamin to store video and these dates were there albeit named differently. So I deleted the old temp files on the windows drive that did NOT affect operation of vitamin d including viewing the files that were saved on the H drive

browerd,

Vitamin D Video will always record to the tmp folder located on your main drive, then move them to their final destination. If there are problems copying these files or if Vitamin D Video is crashing for some reason, the files can get left in the tmp directory. Vitamin D Video does attempt to look for / clean up any old temporary files when it restarts, so restarting Vitamin D Video may also help clean out the temp files.

If you choose to submit a bug report from within the application, it will send us your logs and we can look to see if there is an error you're seeing that can be fixed.

I manually deleted the old temp files so I don't know if a bug report would help right now. I will check in a couple of days and if I have more temp files (other than current ones) I will submit a bug report.

Thank you for your help
