Messoa NCR870?

Having trouble with my Messoa NCR870 IP cam. FWIW I can't get it set up with Blue Iris either. I'm pretty sure it is a problem with the stream paths I've been trying (guessing). The user manual happens to give me the RTSP paths so I figured that was the best bet but still no luck. Camera is currently set up with 720P MJPEG and the stream path should be rtsp://192.168.1.30:554/mpeg4 - maybe that isn't the appropriate stream for directly accessing the stream? I have no problem getting to the camera through my network at 192.168.1.30.

FYI - just changed the primary video stream to MJPEG and accessed with VLC Media Player at rtsp://192.168.1.30:8555/mjpeg but still no luck with Vitamin D.

Hi TH3_FRB,

Are you trying to log in with a username and password? If not I would suggest trying that. So the setup page would be as follows:

Protocol: rtsp
IP address: 192.168.1.30
Port: 8555
Stream path: mjpeg
User name: <make sure this isn't blank>
Password: <make sure this isn't blank>

If that doesn't work you can also try with a stream path of: mjpeg?.mjpeg
Unfortunately many people do mjpeg differently and sometimes it is hard to guess what the stream is. The extra ?.mjpeg will tell vitamin d to force mjpeg processing.

I've been using the camera username and password and all kinds of variations of the path. Are you saying that the path field should say "mjpeg" and nothing else? I've tried it with the full path, path without the port but port entered in the optional port field, without the rtsp:// assuming that selecting the rtsp field in the drop-down might take care of that. I haven't tried the ? yet - will give it a shot tonight.

Since rtsp://192.168.1.30:8555/mjpeg works with VLC Media Player doesn't that confirm the correct path?

I've been able to confirm the RTSP paths work through VLC Media Player but still can't get a connection in Vitamin D. Other variations on the path such as mjpeg?.mjpeg didn't work.

Yup, the stream path in this case should simply be "mjpeg" or "mpeg4", etc... Vitamin D Video will automatically combine the various fields to produce the correct address (you should see this under the "Stream path:" text box.

I'm sorry this isn't working for you. Does your camera support http streams? VDV uses a different rtsp library than VLC does, so the problem could lie there. Unfortunately I don't have any Messoa cameras, though I can try to get one.
