Resource Hungry

by chrism » Sun Feb 06, 2011 7:05 pm

Vitamin D is a great piece of monitoring software but I find it resource hungry and noticeably slows my pc down. I have set Vitamin D to record to NAS drive. I have a 2.8GHz I7 CPU with 8Gb DDR RAM running Windows 7 Ultimate. Is there any way to make Vitamin D less resource hungry please?

The amount of resources consumed is going to change based on a number of factors, including the number of cameras being recorded and the resolution of the recording. That being said, we've heard from numerous people using netbooks, so if you have a small camera setup with noticeable impact something sounds quite off.

There are a number of helpful performance related tips here: http://vitamindinc.com/bwtckwfbreh/stag ... ps_24.html
