How do I prevent saving 'non-ruled' video clips

by us035976 » Mon Jan 10, 2011 12:02 pm

After running Vitamin D for a day, when I look at the 'clips' screen I see many clips of events ( they show up under 'All objects' - 'Unknown') that I have not set up rules for. How to I reduce or eliminate Vitamin D from saving clips of anything except what I have defined rules for?

Look under TOOLS then OPTIONS and you'll see where you can set the maximun amount of disk space the program will use to store video. The clips saved because of your specified rules will always take priority over the other extra stuff in that disk space.

The best plan is just to ignore that extra non-rule stuff. It's not hurtin anybody. It all gets overwritten anyway.

Make sure when you review your saved clips that you choose only the clips saved by your rule in the " LOOK FOR: " box in the upper left hand corner. Make sure it's not set to ALL OBJECTS unless you want to see all the non-rule clips that were saved too. This way you only see the few clips that were saved because of the specific rules that you set.

Good luck.
Joe.
