Please support sFTP and email "auth" optional

by classicshotokan » Tue Dec 21, 2010 12:57 pm

Please add an sFTP client to your next release.

Also, your email client has no "authorize" option. Auth is always set to ON. This means I can't use road runner's smpt server because they don't use auth. So, please, make auth optional.

Great sw, btw.

Thank you.

classicshotokan,

Yup, sFTP would be nice. It's on the list of things we'd like to do...

Auth is actually optional, though I'll admit it's not obvious. If you simply have a blank username and password, the program will not attempt to authenticate. Sorry that part isn't more intuitive. :(

Glad you like the software!

I tried that. Tried no username. No password. No username and no password. Didn't work. I don't recall the error.

Tried this again. The error when using no username or password is "auth"

classicshotokan,

Weird. The only thing I can think of is that the SMTP server you are using (or the port you are connecting to) actually does want auth information and is giving an auth error saying that it expected auth.

Do you have the SMTP server information? Is this something I can try myself, or do I need to be on a special network?
