People and Unknown object detetion issues

I'm new to the software which is generally very good - though the rules and centre of object idea has caused confusion!

But my issue is that under the saved clip viewer you can choose to view different object types.

However I notice sometimes its listed an object as being both a person and an unknown object. The object in question was a very large truck - no people were in the scene - yet its under both people and unknown object.

Why is this? Am I misunderstanding things?

Hi Paul,

If you look at the video clip, did you ever see a green box outlining anything in the scene? Yellow boxes correspond to people, green to everything else (unknown). It could be that something else in the scene was momentarily detected as an object, or perhaps the truck began small and distant and was initially confused as a person and later corrected? It's hard to say without knowing more about the scene or seeing the clip, but hopefully this starts you in the right direction.

Any chance of adding a MASK to the video? In my recent testing I have multiple objects near the edges and a large one in the center. Besides a performance increase it would eliminate falsies.

I also have problems getting correct clips from my rule..... under all objects, it records everything ,but under my rule- “someone coming through the door,”nothing recorded?
