Road Map

I just renewed and was wondering if there is any kind of road map for the product? We've seen two updates this year but a product direction would be helpful in know whether I should be considering another product or sticking with Sighthound. I'm not complaining but it seems we haven't really seen any big features and there are plenty of things that could make this product even better than it is.

I currently Pay for 3 Pro License and have installed and support another 5 I have recommended to companies, I would also like to know when to expect updates. I have requested several over the last few years that don't seem to be big developments.

1. Off line camera alerts
2. Custom push sounds alerts, or let us add our own.

If fact on the forum sighthound support agreed to that off-line camera alerts were a vital option and would be implements but that was 12 months ago.

Any update would be much appreciated.

I’m actively looking for and evaluating a replacement for Sighthound as I dont feel that the product is being actively developed, lack of support, no roadmaps, general feeling that all focus is on their cloud products and the latest issues with push-alerts that took 5(?) days to get fixed was enough.

I think "Ryan Case" has left sighhound. He was the VP Engineer and took a very active interest in the forums. He was so helpful and with him gone the support forums are not as active from the sighthound side.

I hope Stephen Neish reads this and answers our questions. Come on Stephen, I have been with the produce from the VitaminD days. my first purchase was in 2010. I have spent 100s of hours testing, setting up PCs and cameras to send feeback to support to make the product better.

If you do not listen to your Customers it a very sad day for the product.

Sorry for the delay in response here. We are actively working on Sighthound Video. We have been working on a major release (6.0) for sometime later this year. It is still being developed and tested. We do not have any release notes for this major release as of now. Once I have more information from engineering as to the new features, I will reply back here with it.
