I've recently switched over from Synology Surveillance Station as their detection algorithm is average at best and trying to find where something has changed in the footage (i.e. box stolen from porch) is terrible (you can only search in real-time).
However, they've introduced a feature called Home Mode

It allows the user to use Geofencing on his/her mobile phone - set a distance around the home - and setup different notifications, recording on/off etc.
I have a number of cameras inside and outside of my home. I'd like to make sure that notifications stop when I'm in the home, but recording continues on the outside cameras but internal cameras are turned off. And then when I leave, they are all activated again.

It was under "feature request". I know you don't have it at the moment. Perhaps you could look at incorporating it in your next release. Software like "Security Spy", "Synology Security Station", "Blue Iris" all support geo fencing.

I had used their security cameras before and they were good at their price range. I had to write an essay for my college and I didn't have a clue how to write it. i think this could be done very simply using macro.
example
set up rule for your garage door region for leaving and another for entering,
in site hound video there is a option to trigger a command
the command would be to trigger your macro.exe
macro record key strokes.
example, make 1 macro lets say at-home
now record your self shutting off cameras inside the house
the macro will record what key strokes your doing,
once done press end macro, now you will have a file called at-home.EXE
now in site hound video set the command to trigger at-home.EXE on the rule called entering garage door,
once you enter threw the garage door the command will run the at-home.EXE and turns off inside camera,
you dont need site hound video to do this all so, you can make macro set to run by putting in the time, 8 am set macro im leaving turn on all cameras,
6 pm turn off inside camera.
you can find macro software but if you want a good one you can customize
its made by autohot key called auto hot key writer, if you dont code then go to there forum and ask for help there really good at helping, lets say my wife comes threw the garage door and i need another way to have only me trigger it, put 2 boundary up high on your garage wall and have 1 for entering and leaving and wave your hand over the one you want site hound to trigger,
have it send you a email message if you want to make sure it got triggered.
if you use auto hot key which is freeware have it shut down the exe file once done or it will stay running on both files

if it cant trigger .EXE extension
