Export clip for time range

by ratatine » Thu May 17, 2018 3:54 pm

I see a post from 2010 asking about a feature to export a clip for a time range. Is this feature still not available? I can't find it and it seems one of the most obvious features to put in.

Example, I want to export a clip from 14:22 to 14:29.

Thanks for your thoughts if I've missed this somehow. (And note I do know about the raw data on the drive but hoped there was a more intuitive way.)

Hello,

Unfortunately, exporting a clip based on a time range has not been implemented within Sighthound currently. Currently the only way to do this is manipulating the raw data as you said. We do apologize for any inconvenience here.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns, thank you!

Regards,
-Kevin

I guess my only remaining concern on this topic - why not? :P I mean designing this software you'd think:
    Grab data from camera
    Store data from camera
    Export data from camera
    Display data from camera
    Analyze data from camera
    Respond to data from camera
Launch attack drones on instruction from camera

This should really be obvious one would think. smh Suggestion - make the file names for the raw data easier to dig through. Timestamps are unreliable. Thanks!
