Audio in Live View

I have 7 cameras, all with audio capability. The audio plays when viewing a recorded clip but not when live. Is this a software limitation or should this work?

Hello,

Unfortunately, you will be unable to hear life audio from the actual Sighthound application. This is done on purpose. However, if you access Sighthound remotely in the browser, you should be able to find the live audio per camera. Would something like that work for you?

Hi Kevin,
That does not seem to be true. I am viewing the live feed from a remote browser and there is no audio. However, when I play a recorded clip via that same browser there is audio.

What purpose does it have to NOT play live audio? Actually that is one of the most important features ever! It saved me big tome once when I had a nest camera (with live audio!) and HEARD something on the stream that was not visible in the picture.

Sighthound Video supports the following audio formats: AAC on Mac and AAC and G711 alaw/ulaw on Windows. If the cameras configured in Sighthound Video support these audio formats, then you should be able to hear live audio in the web interface provided by remote access in Sighthound Video. The following link demonstrates how to enable audio if the cameras support these audio formats.
