Camera Not Recording Notification

Hi Support

As a basic camera security feature could you please develop an alerts (email & Push) in Sighthound that if a camera is (on) active, and it stops recording we have the option (tick box) that we receive an alert. With the recent issues with patches/updates I had several foscams that were active but not recording (some sitting at Connecting...), but I was not alerted. this is not always a sighthound issue. I have had cameras that ping ok (this is how I monitor they are ok) but sighthound was shown them as a black screen and an alert to tell us there is an issue would be very helpful.

Some of our cameras cover vital server rooms, homes etc.. and we should really have an alert if recording has stopped.

If this feature is added, please allow for flexible conditions such as "Alert if camera is off line for more than X minutes".

This will ensure that no nuisance alerts are issued for transient errors.

Is there any timeline for implementing this feature? as you mentioned above it would be an option added.

Hi Support

any update on this feature. you said you would include. there is a bug in foscams R2 that go off-line and can still show a ping and I have been caught out with this a few times with a "cannot connect" in the sighthound camera window.
