frame rate loss on export when bounding box is checked

by leonbrag » Wed Sep 27, 2017 12:54 am

When I export video it loses original 20fps and is exported as 10fps. Attached are the video properties from mp4 files located in Sighthound Media folder showing original 20fps and exported video showing 10fps.

This seems only happens when bounding box option is set.
Without bounding box, exported video is the same 20fps as original.

Video was exported by right click on the video clip.

Is this a bug?

Hello leonbrag,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. When selecting the bounding box overlay Sighthound must re encode the video which is likely why you are seeing the difference in frame rate. I'm unsure if the 10 fps is intentional or not so I've forwarded this to our engineers for review.

Regards,

-Devin
