Sighthound in IPv6?

by mrmisi » Sat Jul 22, 2017 11:39 am

Does someone of you run Sighthound with a remote access in IPv6?
My ISP can only provide public IPv6 address (no more IPv4) and I'm trying to find a way to enable the remote access to Sighthound with it

Hate to necro this, but no replies to this?

More ISP's are going IP6 and this is an issue.

Internally, Sighthound Video uses the NGINX web server. NGINX does support IPv6, but we have not provided users a way to configure it yet.

Due to some great conversation that happened in our Discord server, I think we are going to enable users to customize the config file of our internal NGINX. Among other things, this would allow manually enabling IPv6 support in Sighthound Video.

In the meantime, you could always set up an NGINX proxy in front of our NGING as has been documented by other users here: https://github.com/domgonzales/nginx_re ... oxy_config

You would need to do some research on how to add IPv6 to that config.

Please join us on the Discord if you can so we can talk further - https://sighthound.com/discord

This forum will be closing at the end of the month.

Best,

-Jonathan
