Foscam F19803P problems

by Weds » Fri Jun 30, 2017 2:21 am

I'm trying to connect a Foscam F19803P camera to Sighthound but its failing to connect. I've used the camera with Netcam Studio and it works fine and using the same settings it just wont connect.

Any suggestions

Hi Weds,

What configuration settings are you attempting to use? I believe this camera should be working with the "Foscam (Other H264)" option.

I've tried using all the different camera types in the drop down menu, I've used RTSP values 88, 554 (which Netcam uses) or nothing in the box.

Hello Weds,

The manual for this camera does claim that rtsp://camera.ip.address:554/videoMain is the correct stream url, which is what "Foscam (other H264)" uses. Do you have a custom username and password set for this camera or are you using the defaults of admin:<blank>? We've had a few Foscam users report that their camera's were not able to connect to Sighthound while using the default username and password.

We did have another user with this same model report success in connecting using ONVIF, but claimed that he had to first enable ONVIF in the camera's configuration web page. Please try enabling ONVIF, then use the directions in this support article - https://www.sighthound.com/support/onvif-camera-setup

Regards,

-Devin
