Looking for update on rules not moving clips as specified

by MrStraightface » Mon Apr 03, 2017 12:26 am

Good Evening,

I was hoping to get an update on the following tickets:

23596
22998

My rules will move clips to a specified folder for a day and a half and then just stop for some reason.

I have reinstalled multiple times and get the same behavior.

Any update you can provide is appreciated.

thanks

I did a clean install of 2008 R2 and installed Sighthound all by itself and I am getting the same behavior.

Rules will move clips to a designated folder for 2 days and then they just stop.

I submitted a new log.

I shut the camera off and rebooted and now all of the clips from today are being moved to the specified folder.

sending another log

Edit: it appears to have stopped moving the clips at the 8:38AM mark for some reason.

-- I just shut off the camera and it started moving them into the folder again.

This is really weird guys. I'm not even making this up...

So if the camera is off it moves files?

This is where I am at currently:

3.0 works fine. Rules moved to folder without issue.
Upgrade to 4.0 and the rules would stop after 1.5-2 days of functioning normally
Did a clean install of Win 2008r2 and reinstalled Sighthound. Same behavior occured
Rebooting the machine does trigger file movement at times, but it will just stop again

We're still looking into this issue. We've so far been unable to reproduce it (and the multiple day aspect certainly doesn't help) so while I'm afraid I don't have a solution to offer at the moment it is in our tracking system and we'll work to locate the root cause and issue a fix.

ok thanks,

to add, rebooting does consistanly solve the issue for 2-3 days and just stops again

Also want to add that I don't necessarily have to reboot to get the clips to move. Sometimes if I restart the software they will start moving again

Thanks
